Sebastian’s Way

Sebastian Øgaard is a talented, humble and hard-working 19-year-old young man from the small town of Ejstrupholm in the central part of Jutland.

In addition to his achievements on the track, Sebastian is known in motorsport circles as a sportsman of integrity and honesty. He is a role model for other young racing drivers and has shown that it is possible to achieve success at a high level.

2023 SEBASTIAN SECURES 3RD PLACE OVERALL IN TOP SERIES EUROCUP-3

After a strong season with MP Motorsport in 2023, Sebastian Øgaard achieved an overall third place in Eurocup-3, featuring participation from over 20 drivers throughout the season. He claimed an impressive victory at Jerez and was the only driver to finish all 16 races within the top 10. Sebastian stood on the podium seven times and set several fastest laps.

The season had a challenging start when Sebastian’s engine broke down during the qualifying session of the season opener at Spa-Francorchamps. Despite starting from the back of the grid, he managed to finish in 5th and 8th positions, earning crucial points. Over eight events spanning from the Belgian Formula 1 circuit in May to the finale at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in November, the young Danish racer continued to showcase his talent.

Sebastian concluded the season in 3rd place overall, just a few points behind the French winner, Esteban Masson.

In 2022 Sebastian takes another step forward i single-seaters

… to the EuroFormula Open F3 Here, 18-year-old Sebastian signs with Dutch team Van Amersfoort Racing – another top team that has previously fielded Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen.

Sebastian opens the season with two podium finishes, including a win in the first race weekend of the year. An impressive feat as a rookie, even as a debutant on the track in Estoril, and with gearbox issues.

Unfortunately, the 2022 season ends with Van Amersfoort Racing withdrawing all of the team’s cars from EuroFormula Open F3 for political reasons. However, due to his strong performance in Euroformula Open F3, Sebastian is invited to drive the final races of another junior series, Formula Regional Europe by Alpine, for the Finish team KIC Motorsport.

In 2021, Sebastian succeeds in becoming vice-champion

in the Spanish Formula 4 series. ebastian becomes Vice Champion of the Spanish Formula 4 series for the legendary Spanish outfit, Campos Racing, which has previously fielded drivers such as Fernando Alonso and Lando Norris. And the now 17-year-old racing driver is doing well. The season ends with eight podium finishes and five race wins, which is enough for an overall second place in the championship.

 

In 2020, the go-kart will be replaced by a Formula 4 car

In 2020, Sebastian goes on to finish third overall in the Danish Formula 4 Championship Sebastian dominates the series with wins in four out of six races, but is unable to compete in the final three races due to a clash with the Italian Formula 4 Championship.

Sebastian has great results in karting

From the start of his career, Sebastian has shown a go-getter attitude, which has resulted in a lot of great results in karting. In 2018, things really take off as Sebastian fights his way to his first international podium finishes, wins the Danish Championship in the OK (top class) and is accepted into Team Denmark.

At the 2018 World Championships in Kristianstad, Sweden, the chain comes off during qualifying. In return for this, the 14-year-old Sebastian flies in the preliminary heats, advancing an astonishing 77 positions, but unfortunately misses out on the final’s by one spot.
